Load(lbs) x Distance(in) = Rotational Torque (in/lbs)
Load(lbs) x (Distance(in)+Inh.Oh(in)) = Tilt Torque (in/lbs)
  • 1. Determine the weight of the item to be welded using the positioner (including fixtures).
  • 2. Calculate the center of gravity of the item to be welded.
  • 3. Using Fig.1, calculate the rotational torque required.
  • 4. Using Fig.2, calculate the tilt torque required.
  • 5. The Welding Positioner must have the Load Capacity equal or greater than requirements.
